I have been reading several blogs lately, I love to read about the lives of other people, I guess that is the point of the whole blogging revolution, to be able to take a glimpse of someone else's life and realize that people in all different walks of life have joys, and hardships, and good days and bad days!! I was reading one blog in particular, this family had a little girl who was born with a congenital heart defect and was then diagnosed with a syndrome. Reading about all of the things that the family went through and all of the things that their precious little girl went through, one thing still stood out to me heads above the rest. God is in control and he is good and faithful, even in times of difficulty and pain and suffering, especially in those times. Thankfully, this particular family and this little girl has come full circle, and things are going great with them and their precious little one, but still, in those times of despair and confusion and pain, they stood strong in their faith in Jesus Christ and the things that he promises. I would hope that if my family went through an ordeal like this family suffered through, or any ordeal for that matter, that we could hold fast to our faith in Our creator and God also, and know that he is always there, always in control, He is GOD!! And thank goodness for that!!
I then look at my precious baby girl, and how thankful I truly am, even more now, then yesterday. I think sometimes it takes hearing about hardships and suffering to really truly realize how blessed we all are. I look at Reagan as she is sleeping, and I pray that God keeps her healthy and thriving. I also pray for her heart, and that someday, in God's perfect timing, that she will come to know her Lord and Savior, accept him into her life, and become a beautiful child of God. I pray that she will be a light in this dark world, and that she will change the world for the better. I pray that she will bear beautiful fruit, and be patient and kind, loving and forgiving, beautiful on the inside and out!! I pray that her life will bring good to so many people, and that she will have happiness and joy that can only come from having a deep and close relationship with her God! I pray all of these things daily, because I believe in the power of prayer, and I believe that its never too early to start praying for the salvation of our children. I think that its the best and most precious gift that we can give our families, and our children, the gift of a mommy and daddy praying daily for their little ones, and trusting that God hears their prayers, and will move in the lives of his people in his perfect timing. I do believe that, and it gives me peace daily. God is good and faithful, in times of trials and suffering, and in times of joy and happiness. Thank goodness for that!!
