BUBBLES

Bubbles, we love bubbles!! Reagan loves bubbles, but she especially likes to try to blow bubbles, which is quite entertaining from my point of view!!!!! It is really really cute to watch a baby try to learn how to blow their first bubbles. I have enjoyed watching Reagan this summer try and try and try to blow her own bubbles, because she is SOOO independent and does not want ANY help. I think half the time, she ends up eating soap, but she does not seem to mind. I caught some of the fun on camera, and thought I would share!!! Your welcome, its quite enjoyable!!!

Spilled Milk

Whoever said not to cry over spilled milk was clearly not the mother of a toddler...

(Yes, that is a puddle of spilled milk, and yes, that is in my van)

Lovely......

Shuh Buh

Reagan has started to do something pretty funny that we just figured out. Reagan has never been one to repeat much of anything, she will talk when she is ready and wanting to. I always try to get her to repeat things, but she just is not really into it. Recently, I will ask her to repeat something, and sometimes she will repeat what I say, and other times, she says something that is SO FAR OFF from what I said that I started to get scared that she was not hearing well. The other night, Jeremy and I figured out that if she knows the word that you are asking her to repeat, she will say it, clear as day, but if she does not know the word that you want her to repeat, she will say "shuh buh." No clue what it means, but its consistent each time I try to get her to say something new.

Here is our conversation:

Me: Reagan, say Annie
Reagan: Nannie (huge smile)
Me: Reagan, say Mommy
Reagan: Mommy
Me: Reagan, say Audrey
Reagan: Audee
Me: Reagan, say pasta
Reagan: Shuh Buh
Me: What??????
Me: Reagan, say pasta (PAAASSSTTTAAA) (you know, very exaggerated like so she understands;-)
Reagan: Shuh Buh
Me: Hmmm, Really, No clue, Ok
Me: Reagan, say Daddy
Reagan: Daddy
Me: Reagan, say Papaw
Reagan: Papaw
Me: Reagan, say Juice
Reagan: Duice
Me: Reagan, say spagetti
Reagan: Shuh buh (hmmmm)
Me: Reagan, say ice cream (which I know she does not know)
Reagan: Shuh Buh (interesting.....)
Me: Reagan, say Buzz
Reagan: Buzz (another huge smile)
Me: Reagan, say hot dog (another one I know she doesn't know)
Reagan: Shuh Buh (clearly this means something)
Me: Reagan, say PAAAASSSTTAA
Reagan: SSSHHUUBB BBUUH (Gosh mom, your so annoying!!!!!

Sidewalk Chalk

We had a great time, Reagan and I, and the sidewalk chalk. Nevermind the fact that it was 101 degrees outside, and I was sweating sitting still, and Reagan's poor little face was bright red, not from sunburn, just from the pure Texas heat!!! She begged and begged to go "side" and play with her chalk. She did not say it in exactly those words, but I took her holding her chalk in one hand, pulling my hand with the other and saying "side" over and over again what she wanted to do. So, we went outside, braved the heat, and had a sidewalk chalk party!!!!

We wrote our names on the sidewalk in pretty colors.....

We even wore our best jewels for the occasion.....

We enjoyed all of the bright and beautiful colors of the sidewalk chalk.....

And when we were done drawing on the sidewalk, we colored our feet, which is way cooler than coloring on the sidewalk I might add:-))

And don't forget what happens when you sit down on all the pretty artwork that you just drew with the pretty sidewalk chalk...

Destin 2010 (Part 3)

So as I said before, Reagan was ok with the ocean, she liked the water for about 5 minutes, and the sand about the same. But....she loved the pool. The pool area is where she was excited to be the entire time we were in Destin, at least when it was not raining. We even did some swimming in the rain!! Reagan and her daddy had a ball playing in the pool, swimming, jumping in and getting thrown into the heavens by her crazy daddy!! Reagan is a total adrenaline junkie and loved to be thrown as high as Jeremy could catapult her up in the air, it was too too funny!!

Destin 2010 (Part 2)

It rained a lot while we were in Destin, not like usual Florida rain, but rain that starts in the morning, sets in, and stays all day long. So, what better to do on a rainy day then to build a huge sand tunnel. A few boys that were staying at our resort spent an entire day in the rain shoveling their little hearts out tunneling though the sand. So of course, when Reagan sees this tunnel that these little boys have put all of their sweat and tears into making, naturally she wants to take part in the fun, and try to fill in their tunnel, negating all of their hard work. Obviously, she didn't do much damage to their work, and they were good sports about letting her come and play in the sand tunnel. Oh, and Reagan also got her first mouthful of sand, and loved it, or not so much!!!
