Thanksgiving 2009

I have so so many things to post, we have had a busy few weeks. So, I am going to take it one step at a time, and one post at a time (this is the only way I can ever get ANYTHING done without getting overwhelmed). So, on to our exciting Thanksgiving. Jeremy, Reagan, Maggie and I had a quiet Thanksgiving at home this year, no traveling, no family, no big plans, just relaxing and spending quality time together. It was really nice. We started the day off with a little turkey trot!! We participated in the annual Fort Worth Turkey Trot (5K run/walk) that helps raise money for the local YMCA programs for families and children in the Fort Worth area. We got up early, bundled up and headed to Fort Worth. We met some friends and we walked and walked our little hearts out while Reagan rode in her stroller and took a nice little nap:-))

Reagan all bundled up and ready to go!!

A new family tradition

There were TONS of people there, it was crazy!!!

It only took us a little over an hour to finish:-))

After we got finished with our turkey trotting, we stopped at starbucks and then headed home to put our turkey in the oven. We had tons of food for just the three of us, really just the two of us (Reagan was NOT interested in any of the Thanksgiving food). We had a 16 pound turkey, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, cucumbers (a Sobray family tradition), squash casserole, focaccia bread stuffing, and pumpkin pie. The food was really really good....

We cooked and baked and prepared our Thanksgiving feast all day long, Reagan was an angel and played and just had a great time. And then, as soon as we set the table and sat down to enjoy the fruits of our exhaustive labor, poof, our sweet angel that played contently all day long turned into a not so sweet angel, and she screamed and screamed and screamed her cute little head off the ENTIRE time that we ate, seriously, it was crazy!! So, we ended eating our delicious meal that took hours upon hours to create, in less than 5 minutes!! And not long after we were done eating and has started the clean up part of the Thanksgiving meal, she decided she was ready to play again and our angel returned.

So, overall, Reagan's first Thanksgiving was a success, and we had a good relaxing time (minus the 10 minutes of screaming)!! We spent the rest of the day and weekend doing some shopping and decorating our home for Christmas!!

Here are some pictures of our sweetie in her sweet Thanksgiving outfit:
