Yard Work

So, I have meant to post some pictures of our newly landscaped yard, but posting about the baby is much more fun. But, here it goes. About a month ago, we decided that it was time to do something about our yard. We had looked and looked around our neighborhood at other people's landscaping.

We finally decided that we really liked how the brick border around the flower beds and trees looked. So, that is what we did. We are really pleased with how it turned out! We re-mulched the beds and it looks so nice.

I talked Jeremy into turning one of the trees into a planter. I have always wanted to plant flowers!! We went to Calloway's nursery and bought some pretty white flowers (I can't remember what they are called) and some gerber daisies. We planted them and they looked so so pretty, for a few days. I am not exactly sure what happened to the flowers, it may have something to do with the fact that I forgot to water them for a few days. Unfortunately, my flowers didn't make it:-(( So sad. But, here are a few pictures of the newly landscaped yard and my pretty flowers before they went to flower heaven.

YUMMY

Reagan has started eating some solid foods and its been really fun to watch her progression through this newly learned skill. We started out with some rice cereal, she really wasn't too fond of it, I would give her a bite of the cereal, she would just look at me and then spit it right out!! It was really funny to watch. Finally after a few attempts, she started to understand what she was supposed to do with the cereal. I started to thicken the cereal a little, and then she just took off with it, and now she LOVES her cereal!! She gets so excited when its time to eat, she opens her mouth in anticipation of the food! Its really cute. She also has started eating some veggies and fruit, She loves the carrots and squash, pears and bananas. We have tried peas, not a huge fan, but we will work on it.

Here are some pictures of Reagan's first attempts at eating solid food!! Note, she would much rather eat her bib than her food, but that is getting better too!!

Yummy carrots, her favorite. I think I need to invest in some strong stain remover, carrots are NOT easy to get out of baby clothing!!

Here is Reagan in her new highchair. My grandmother, Reagan's great grandmother, bought it for her. Its really neat, it had four different ways that you can use the high chair. It changes eventually into a booster seat, etc. I think she looks like such a big girl sitting in her new highchair!!

Zoo Fun

We recently took Reagan on her first trip to the zoo. The weather was beautiful last weekend, so we decided to get out of the house and enjoy it. I didn't really expect Reagan to even notice the animals since she still has no clue that Maggie even exists yet, we just thought it would be fun to get out of the house. Reagan did great at the zoo, she sat in her stroller like a big girl and just took everything in. I think she enjoyed watching all of the people around her, and she didn't fuss or cry once the whole time we were there. Jeremy and I enjoyed watching all of the animals and just being out and getting some exercise walking around the zoo.

Here are some fun animal pictures:

Here is a sweet picture of our girl, you can see how much she enjoyed seeing all of the animals:-))))

SO SWEET!!!!!

Pretty Girl, Pretty Dress, Pretty Pictures

Here are some pictures that I took of Reagan last week. Isn't she just beautiful!! I got her this dress on Etsy, I just love it. I have been waiting until the sun was shining to get outside and take some pictures of Reagan in her pretty dress. Believe it or not, it has been raining like crazy here in Texas, and the sun has been hard to find recently. Not that I am complaining, summer is on the way, and soon we will be wishing for more rain!!

Reagan is five months now, and its unbelievable how one month can make such a difference!! Reagan is now rolling over from her belly to her back and so forth, and she rolls and rolls and rolls constantly. She has now started to roll onto her belly and then to her back and so forth, and before you know it, she is halfway across the room.

She is also talking up a storm, and she has a new sound now, she half squeals/half yells, its really funny. She will make her sound and then I try to emulate it back to her, and then we have a little squealing conversation. Jeremy says we sound like a couple of whales having a conversation :-)) (Hopefully that is not a crack on my post pregnancy body and Reagan's milk belly:-))

Reagan has found her feet, so she is always trying to get them in her mouth, along with EVERYTHING else!!

Reagan has always loved her baths, but she has recently started playing in the tub, she splashes and laughs and just has a grand old time. She is a funny girl.

More Easter Pictures

I forgot to post these pictures on my last post. This is a cute little outfit that my mom made Reagan for Easter. The pants are so cute, I love the purple and the polka dots. Reagan is so lucky to have a grandma that can sew and make pretty things. I am trying to learn how to sew so I can stop bugging my mom each time I see something and want it made!!! My mom also made Reagan a new blankie, and its so pretty and soft.

Reagan's not so sure about the bow!!

Easter Pictures

We had a nice quiet Easter here at the Walden house. We went to church and then came home, Reagan was not feeling well, so we just stayed home and took care of her. Church was great, Reagan did well in the nursery so Jeremy and I could enjoy the service. We had a good time worshipping the Lord and thanking God for the gift that he has given us, the gift of salvation, and celebrating the resurrection of our Savior!! We came home and I cooked a huge Easter feast:-))) Jeremy and I ate grilled ham and cheese sandwiches and macaroni and cheese for our big Easter meal. Like I said, pretty quiet this Easter. Reagan did look beautiful in her Easter dress. The Easter bunny brought Reagan a few small gifts, her favorite being her new glow worm!!

Newborn Pictures

I had pictures taken of Reagan when she was born, actually she was about 3 weeks old. I finally got my album, at no fault to the photographer, totally my fault, I couldn't decide what pictures I wanted because they were all so precious. We had the pictures taken by Erin of Erin Renee Photography. She does such a wonderful job, and is so so much fun to work with. She comes to your house and uses your house as the back drop for your pictures. She is so talented and does an awesome job. The pictures really reflect you and your personality, and that is one of the things that i like best about her and her style. We will definitely be using her to take LOTS of pictures of our precious girl, you can NEVER have too many pictures, especially when babies change so much so quickly. So here is a sneak peak of some or my favorite pics, ENJOY!!
